Sharing is caring!

This month, Safe Kids Georgia had the honor of participating in the 2nd Annual OHSO Safety Expo event at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The event was held outdoors on the Roybal and  Chamblee campus and many other organizations including DeKalb Fire Department and Georgia Power were in attendance. The purpose of this expo was “to familiarize the staff with the services provided here at the CDC”, said Francisco Velazquez. Our Safe Kids Georgia Team and Interns had the opportunity to educate on the importance of motor vehicle safety as well as other safety areas including water and fire safety.

“There aren’t many events for external organizations to participate in and we wanted the staff to know what services were available to them”

– Kristen Mayfield, Health Scientist, CDC
