About Us

Safe Kids Clayton is a coalition led by the Clayton County Board of Health. Our mission is to prevent accidental injury for children nineteen and under throughout Clayton county. We accomplish this through education, equipment, enforcement, and awareness.

Our Lead Agency

The Clayton County Board of Health (CCBOH), seeks “A Healthier Clayton in One Generation.” This is accomplished through health promotion, protection, prevention, and emergency preparedness planning activities that are evidence-based and data-driven. The CCBOH administers a number of free and reduced-cost health services and programs, including: Community wellness classes; health education outreach; hypertension prevention; reproductive health services for men and women; adult and child immunizations; children’s dental services; developmental screenings and early intervention services; care coordination for children and youth with special health needs; testing and treatment for HIV/AIDS and other sexually-transmitted infections (STIs); supplemental nutrition assistance for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and home visitation for pregnant and parenting moms. For more information visit www.claytoncountypublichealth.org.
