Amanda Batlle – State Leader
Amanda works at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as the Safe Kids State Leader and the Manager of Injury and Illness Prevention Programs. She is a proud alumni of the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science then went on to earn a Masters degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. She has worked in outpatient care settings as a pediatric nurse practitioner and has a passion for teaching families how to avoid illness and injury as part of prevention counseling. She has also worked in clinical education, managed the Children’s COVID 19 Pediatric Hotline, and started and managed the COVID 19 vaccine operations at Children’s largest outpatient medical center. In her spare time she enjoys anything fitness related, gardening, cooking, camping, traveling, and playing with her 3 kids and dog.
Lin Snowe – Senior Wellness Program Coordinator
Lin worked most recently in injury prevention as Coalition Coordinator for Safe Kids Douglas County/Cobb & Douglas Public Health, and also worked with epidemiology on the Covid-19 Response Team as a Case Investigator. Her previous career includes medical technology sales for Ethicon and Gynecare (Johnson & Johnson companies), and healthcare products for Warner-Wellcome. She is a certified Child Passenger Technician Proxy and is working toward completing her instructor certification. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with her B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing. Lin enjoys physical activity and exercise in her spare time, traveling with her husband, and spending time with their two dogs.
Debbie Mekonnen – Wellness Program Coordinator
Debbie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Georgia State University. She is responsible for managing the relationship between our statewide coalitions and community partners. Debbie has a strong passion for public health education particularly the importance of preventing unintentional injuries among children. Additionally, she is very passionate about car seat safety and is a certified Child Passenger Safety technician. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.
