Sharing is caring!

In recognition of National SIDS Awareness Month, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hosted the annual Safe Sleep Carnival on October 22nd. The purpose of the carnival was to educate parents and caregivers on safety tips to reduce their children’s risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related causes of infant death. The event was held at all three of the hospital’s campuses: Egleston, Hughes Spalding, and Scottish Rite.

There were lots of informative brochures for parents to read, educational games for the kids to play, and several giveaway prizes. Doctors, medical residents, social workers, and nurses were in attendance to teach parents best practices in laying babies down to sleep and to answer all of their pressing questions.

The carnival was an enormous success and had a great turnout!
